Softball Recap: Hughesville Spartans vs. Montoursville Warriors
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hughesville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Montoursville Warriors. Eight seems to be a good number for the Spartans as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Hughesville saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Smith, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Smith also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Adelyn Knight was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
