Soccer Game Preview: Stewarts Creek vs. LaVergne

The Stewarts Creek Red Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the LaVergne Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Stewarts Creek is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Cookeville, who was ranked 19th at the time (Stewarts Creek was ranked 22nd). The Red Hawks fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Stewarts Creek couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, LaVergne kept a clean sheet against Wilson Central on Friday. They blew past the Wildcats 4-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for LaVergne.

LaVergne pushed their record up to 5-7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three games. As for Stewarts Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3-1.
