Volleyball Recap: Coastal Academy Comes Up Short

Coastal Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders. The Stingrays were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Coastal Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-13, 17-25, 25-11, 15-9.

When it comes to explaining why Coastal Academy lost, don't look at Amelia Wilson. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and two aces.

Coastal Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Coastal Academy will head out on the road to challenge El Camino at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will face off against Bonsall at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
