Palmetto has gone 10-0 against Southeast recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Palmetto Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Southeast Seminoles at 11:00 a.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Palmetto's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Manatee out 1-0. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Hurricanes are ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palmetto's one-goal win came courtesy of Ja'Lynn Sanders, who's now up to 24 this season.

Meanwhile, Southeast managed to keep up with Manatee until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Southeast lost 5-1 to Manatee. Ayah Martinez was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Palmetto has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Southeast, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which lines up perfectly with their 1-9-2 record this season.

Everything went Palmetto's way against Southeast when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Palmetto made off with a 9-0 victory. Does Palmetto have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southeast turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
