LaBelle and East Lee County are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Cowboys/Cowgirls will head out on the road to face off against the Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. LaBelle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully East Lee County likes a good challenge.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when LaBelle and Riverdale meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Cowboys/Cowgirls took their matchup with ease, bagging a 65-35 victory over the Raiders. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cowboys/Cowgirls' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Raiders are ranked 706th).

Meanwhile, East Lee County was beaten by Lehigh 76-33 on Friday. The Jaguars have struggled against the Lightning recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

East Lee County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for LaBelle, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

LaBelle didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against East Lee County in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 66-62 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys/Cowgirls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
