Newberry's match on Thursday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They never let the Clinton Red Devils get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The Bulldogs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

They hit Clinton with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Frida Aguilar, Jazmin Marin Vera, and Daniela Garcia-Guzman.

The victory got Newberry back to even at 3-3-1. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-3-1.

Newberry didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 win against Keenan on the 14th. As for Clinton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-0 defeat against Mid-Carolina on the 18th.
