Basketball Game Preview: Ritchie County Rebels vs. Belpre Golden Eagles

The Ritchie County Rebels will be taking part in a tournament against the Belpre Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Ritchie County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.7 points per game this season.

While Ritchie County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against St. Marys by a score of 70-61 on Thursday.

Isaac Hodges continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 37 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was his 20th in a row with at least ten points. Seth Cronin was another key player, going 5 of 12 en route to 13 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Belpre, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-35 win over Frontier on Thursday.

Belpre's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Ritchie County, they are also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
