Sac-Joaquin Section Top 25 high school football rankings

Whitney, Buhach Colony, Downey joins rankings after big wins last week.

Welcome, Whitney (Rocklin), Buhach Colony (Atwater) and Downey (Modesto) to this week's Sac-Joaquin Section Top 25 high school football rankings.

Whitney had an impressive win at home against No. 16 Placer. Quarterback Eli Brickhandler threw for 274 yards and four TDs for the Wildcats.

Buhach Colony had a big win at home against No. 10 Tracy, scoring 27 first-half points and holding off a late run by Tracy.

Downey out of Modesto can put up some points. QB Bryce Gouker threw for 464 yards and six TDs. Senior Lawrence Harris caught nine balls for 264 yards and five scores.
