Recap: Academy Park Knights vs. Chester Clippers
The Academy Park Knights fell victim to the Chester Clippers''s stalwart defense on Saturday and couldn't make it onto the board. Their rough 22-0 defeat to the Clippers might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Academy Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 310th, while Chester is ranked 54th).
Chester got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Shamar Williams out in front who rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown. Dayshon Jackson and his 97 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Chester's victory.
Academy Park's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-5. As for Chester, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Academy Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chester will be playing at home against Upper Moreland at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
