Volleyball Recap: Beachside Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Beachside and Nease squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Beachside had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Barracudas in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Troy Mailly paced Beachside's offense, picking up eight kills. Mailly really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 12. He also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Stephen Sokowloski, racking up three apiece.

Beachside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Nease, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Beachside nor Nease have any future games scheduled.
