Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monacan). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Huguenot Falcons a 15-0 shutout on Thursday. The Chiefs haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Monacan's win bumped their record up to 9-6-1. As for Huguenot, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Coming up, Monacan will be playing at home against Manchester at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Chiefs 3.8, the Lancers 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Huguenot, they are taking a road trip to face off against Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
