Justin Garza put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Immanuel Eagles. While the Guardians didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Gracie Uribe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on JorJa Hernandez, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Nason, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.

Justin Garza hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive games.

Justin Garza's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Immanuel, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Justin Garza will challenge Dos Palos at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Firebaugh has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.63 runs per game on average), something Immanuel will no doubt try to take advantage of.
