Basketball Recap: Jackson Alotta's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kenston over Olmsted Falls

Kenston saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took an 83-68 bruising from the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Bombers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 158th).

Kenston lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jackson Alotta, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 16 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in boards (four). Eli Ellis was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Kenston now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Olmsted Falls, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Kenston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Olmsted Falls, they will venture away from home to square off against Tallmadge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tallmadge is on a three-game streak of home wins, Olmsted Falls a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
