Basketball Recap: Fenton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Fenton and Vernon Hills squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Fenton had to settle for second. They lost to the Vernon Hills Cougars on the road by a 43-29 margin. Having soared to a lofty 58 points in the game before, the Bison couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Fenton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Armany Sutton posted 17 points. Sutton is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Fenton's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Vernon Hills, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-14 record.

Fenton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vernon Hills, they are taking a road trip to take on Antioch at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
