Volleyball Recap: Vernon Takes a Loss

Vernon and Weehawken squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Vernon had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1. The Vikings' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-20, 28-26.

Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Weehawken, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Vernon nor Weehawken have any future games scheduled.
