Heritage Christian had already won 17 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.3 points) and they went ahead and made it 18 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 86-33 victory over the River City Believers Academy Soldiers. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 616th, while the Soldiers are ranked 1632nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Loss or not, River City Believers Academy got some senior leadership from Lukas Cox and Brennen McGuire. Heritage Christian pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. As for River City Believers Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
