Preview: Wolcott Eagles vs. Wilby Wildcats
The Wolcott Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Wilby Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wolcott is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Wolcott came up short against Woodland Regional and fell 63-52.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Wilby's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 74-65 to Holy Cross. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Wolcott's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Wilby, their loss dropped their record down to 6-1.
Wolcott suffered a grim 84-61 defeat to Wilby in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Wolcott avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
