Basketball Recap: Southeast Guilford's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Southeast Guilford had lost six straight headed into Saturday's contest, but Byron Arant didn't let it get to seven. The Southeast Guilford Falcons came out on top against the Ragsdale Tigers by a score of 73-65 on Saturday thanks in part to Arant, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Southeast Guilford's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Ragsdale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Southeast Guilford will have a chance to go back-to-back against Ragsdale: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
