Northern Valley is 4-0 against Western Plains since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Northern Valley Huskies will take on the Western Plains Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. Western Plains took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Northern Valley, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Northern Valley turned things around against Stockton on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 54-43.

Meanwhile, Western Plains unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Wheatland-Grinnell by a score of 52-50.

Western Plains' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2-1. As for Northern Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10.

Northern Valley beat Western Plains 60-51 in their previous meeting back in February of 2016. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Western Plains' Daniel Hair, who posted 21 points and seven steals. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for Northern Valley to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
