Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Staunton). They put the hurt on the North Mac Panthers with a sharp 9-0 victory on Tuesday. Staunton's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matchups.

Their offense was hitting North Mac from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ryenne Dugger led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Staunton's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for North Mac, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11-1 record this season.

Staunton has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Roxana on the 16th. As for North Mac, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
