El Capitan had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with  a   4-1  win over the Granite Hills Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  2-0  back in April.
 Addison Higuera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on two hits and racked up eight Ks.
 On the hitting side, El Capitan's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Ciara Bernardini, who  went 2-for-3 with one  RBI.  Sofia Simone was another,  going 1-for-4 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
El Capitan's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 15-13. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Granite Hills, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18-1 record  this season.
As of now, neither El Capitan nor Granite Hills have any future games scheduled.
