The Front Range Christian Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Englewood Pirates at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Front Range Christian is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Front Range Christian challenged SkyView Academy on Thursday. The Falcons fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 7-6.

Haedan Morton put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Morton wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Landon Deza, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Jake Dreiling, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Englewood had just enough and edged out Weld Central 4-3 on Monday.
Like Front Range Christian, Englewood also got a great game from a two-way player: Rj Cullyford. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits. Cullyford was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
Englewood is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Front Range Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Front Range Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Englewood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Front Range Christian came up short against Englewood when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 6-1. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
