Hillcrest entered their tilt with Thunder Ridge on Saturday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Titans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in August.

Hillcrest had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Hillcrest was led to victory by Natalie Petty and Ali Maddux. Petty had six digs and three aces, while Maddux had 15 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Maddux has posted over her last six matchups.

Reese Hone and Avery Kunz certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Hone had 24 digs and three assists, while Kunz had seven digs and two aces.

Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Thunder Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Madison on the 20th. As for Thunder Ridge, they are taking a road trip to challenge Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
