Football Recap: King City Piles Up the Points Against Stanberry

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King City). They really took it to the Stanberry Bulldogs for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-12 win. With the Wildkats ahead 66-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

King City found their leader in sophomore Landon Carlson, who rushed for 83 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 142 yards and four touchdowns on only nine passes. Carlson is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least four every time he's taken the field this season. King City also got a significant boost from Graham Medsker Iv, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 133 yards.

King City's run defense was locked in: Stanberry could only muster 1.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Medsker Iv for the heroic effort on defense: he. King City didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 13.7.

King City's defense didn't let Drew Parman., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Luke Roberts, Zachary Hodge, and Masen Davis, who each picked up one sack apiece.

King City's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 73.5 points this season. As for Stanberry, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
