Recap: Willits Wolverines vs. Middletown Mustangs
The Willits Wolverines lost against the Middletown Mustangs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. 2024 welcomed Willits with a 74-49 loss courtesy of Middletown. Willits has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Willits still got an impressive performance from Kooper Dockins, who scored 25 points. The matchup was Dockins' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Grooms , who scored 12 points.
Willits has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Middletown, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Willits will be playing at home against Cloverdale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cloverdale is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Middletown, they will head out on the road to face off against Clear Lake at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Clear Lake will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
