Basketball Game Preview: Steele Comets vs. Clearview Clippers

The Steele Comets are taking a road trip to take on the Clearview Clippers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clearview took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Steele, who comes in off a win.

Steele took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Avon Lake by a score of 79-71. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Comets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Shoremen are ranked 468th).

Meanwhile, Clearview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Keystone 89-39. The Clippers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-26.

Steele's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Clearview, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Steele got the 'W' when the teams last played back in December of 2024 against Clearview by a conclusive 78-53 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
