Baseball Recap: James Buchanan Has No Trouble Against Biglerville

James Buchanan lost to Biglerville back in May of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Rockets put the hurt on the Canners with a sharp 9-3 victory. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.

Trey Daugherty made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Jimmy Bell was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jake Miller, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

James Buchanan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Biglerville only posted a batting average of .208.

James Buchanan's win bumped their record up to 5-2-1. As for Biglerville, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. James Buchanan will welcome Big Spring at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Biglerville, they will be playing at home against Dover at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
