Basketball Recap: Landrum Cardinals vs. Chapman Panthers
It was a proper cat-fight when Landrum took on Chapman on Monday. The Landrum Cardinals fell just short of the Chapman Panthers by a score of 43-40. The matchup was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but the Cardinals couldn't quite close it out.

Kylie Fortner and Sullivan Price certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Fortner posted 14 points in addition to eight boards and three steals, while Price dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Fortner has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.
Krislyn Wilder continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chapman, going 8 of 15 on her way to 30 points. Those 30 points gave Wilder a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Holmes, who had five points.
This is the second loss in a row for Landrum and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Chapman, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
