Basketball Recap: Calhoun Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Laurence Manning Academy

Calhoun Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats by a score of 43-40 on Tuesday. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Swampcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Nick Lindsay and Crews Felder certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Lindsay posted 16 points and five boards, while Felder shot 46% from the field on his way to 15 points. The game was Lindsay's third in a row with at least 16 points.

Coming up, Calhoun Academy will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against St. John's Christian Academy at 6:10 p.m. on Friday. As for Laurence Manning Academy, they will take on Carolina Forest in a tournament on Monday.
