Clarkston had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Rogers Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-4 on Saturday.

Clarkston's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Rogers, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clarkston is set to challenge their familiar foe North Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Clarkston's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while North Central has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, Rogers will face off against rival East Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
