Football Game Preview: Valiant Cross Academy Warriors vs. Lakeside School Chiefs

The Valiant Cross Academy Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Lakeside School Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Valiant Cross Academy is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Lowndes Academy last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors were outmatched by the Rebels and fell 54-6. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Rebels are ranked 158th).

Meanwhile, Lakeside School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Crenshaw Christian Academy 40-0.

Lakeside School's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Valiant Cross Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Valiant Cross Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lakeside School in their previous matchup back in August of 2020, but they still walked away with a 21-16 win.
