Preview: Chilton County Tigers vs. Talladega Tigers
The Chilton County Tigers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Talladega Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on December 28th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Chilton County pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Moody an easy 77-55 victory.
Despite the loss, Chilton County had strong showings from Iasia Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten assists, and Tyeshia Williams, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. Anderson scored a full 43.6% of Chilton County's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Talladega has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central of Clay County.
Despite the defeat, Talladega got a solid performance out of Trinity Webb, who scored 19 points. The matchup was Webb's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justasia Pointer, who scored nine points.
Chilton County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Talladega, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Fans should be in for an exciting game on Thursday as both teams are among the highest scoring teams in the league right now. Chilton County hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 53.4 points per game. It's a different story for Talladega, though, as they've been averaging only 57.5 points per game.
