With a playoff win on the line, Loyola College Prep rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over Haynes Academy. The result was nothing new for the Flyers, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Loyola College Prep, bringing their record up to 25-10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Haynes Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-15.

Looking ahead, Loyola College Prep will square off against Archbishop Hannan on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Flyers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Haynes Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
