Moody hadn't done well against Bruceville-Eddy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from four players: Spencer Meyer, Devonte Anderson, Devun Marburger, and Tucker Poe, who each logged one passes deflected. Moody's defense didn't let Robert Gail III, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jaydin Hicks, Nathan Hamrick, and Eli Loyd, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Moody's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Bruceville-Eddy, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
