Basketball Recap: Selma Takes a Loss

Selma saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 72-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Justin Garza Guardians. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), the Bears still had to take the loss.

Selma's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Justin Garza, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Selma will take on Sierra Pacific at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Selma's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Justin Garza, they will challenge Sanger West at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Justin Garza is facing Sanger West at the right time seeing as Sanger West is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
