Bruton had won four straight games and Brandon Freeman did his part to make it five on Friday. The Bruton Panthers came out on top against the Poquoson Islanders by a score of 60-47 thanks to Freeman, who almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played.

Bruton pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Poquoson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bruton will square off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lafayette knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Bruton likes a good challenge. As for Poquoson, they will challenge Tabb at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
