Paxton is a perfect 10-0 against Laurel Hill since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Paxton Bobcats will host the Laurel Hill Hoboes at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Laurel Hill is facing Paxton at the wrong time: Paxton suffered their first home loss of the season on Friday and they're likely out for redemption. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 17-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bobcats have suffered since April 2, 2024.

Paxton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clete Moore, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Laurel Hill lost 17-6 to Baker on Friday. The Hoboes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brannon Henderson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrance Hudson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Paxton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Laurel Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Paxton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Laurel Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Paxton took their win against Laurel Hill when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1. Will Paxton repeat their success, or does Laurel Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
