Clermont Northeastern hadn't done well against Williamsburg recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rockets came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Rockets: when they faced off against the Wildcats on September 4th, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

While Clermont Northeastern might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Williamsburg scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 18-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Williamsburg saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gracie Graves had 14 digs and three aces. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Graves.

The win made it two in a row for Clermont Northeastern and bumps their season record up to 12-6. As for Williamsburg, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 10-8.

Clermont Northeastern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Felicity-Franklin on the 1st. As for Williamsburg, they will take on East Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
