Sacred Heart Academy entered their tilt with Cheshire on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-1 victory back in September.

Sacred Heart Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-4.

Leading Sacred Heart Academy to victory were JJ Kirck and Isabella Pellegrino. Kirck had 27 digs and two assists, while Pellegrino hit 76.9% for ten kills and 14 digs. Pellegrino is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Cheshire's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Kilpatrick, who had 20 assists. Rowan Byrnes was another key player, getting 13 assists and four digs.

Sacred Heart Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Cheshire, they dropped their record down to 12-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Sacred Heart Academy will face off against Foran at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cheshire does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
