Basketball Recap: Ashbrook Skates Past Berry with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bessemer City, Ashbrook was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 47-13 victory over the Berry Cardinals. The Greenwave haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Ashbrook's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caleah Foster led the charge by putting up nine points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna McDowell, who posted eight points and eight boards.

Ashbrook was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berry only posted three.

The victory got Ashbrook back to even at 1-1. As for Berry, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Ashbrook has already played their next contest, a 37-32 win against Bessemer City on the 25th. As for Berry, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Charlotte at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd.
