League recap: Dupo's Dickerson delivers best pitching performance from past week

Jimmy Dickerson was the best pitcher in Cahokia this week. He won one game and struck out 10 batters.

Carlyle (15-12, 6-6) is red-hot, having won six straight games, the longest such streak in the league. In the past week, the Indians won another two games, including a 19-0 win over Ramsey.

Dupo boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. On the season, the Tigers have allowed just 184 hits, while striking out 153 batters. Dickerson leads the Tigers with 59 strikeouts in 46 innings.

Dupo's Taylor Harvell led the league with six hits this week. On the season, he's hitting .347 and ranks seventh in the league with 25 hits.
