Rock Point entered their tilt with Highland Prep West on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the HORNETS.

Pepper Pete paced Rock Point's offense, picking up 15 kills. Pete got some help from Aiyana Becenti and her 20 assists. Becenti also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Shandiin Chee, each putting up three.

Rock Point's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Highland Prep West, they moved to 6-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Rock Point wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Metro Tech on the 20th. As for Highland Prep West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Heritage Academy on the 22nd.
