Soccer Game Preview: Hillsboro vs. Peebles

Hillsboro will head out to face off against Peebles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Hillsboro and McClain have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Indians fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Peebles). They blew past Northwest 7-1 on Wednesday. Considering Peebles' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The victory got Peebles back to even at 7-7-1. As for Hillsboro, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Hillsboro took their win against Peebles in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hillsboro since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
