Basketball Recap: North Georgia HomeSchool Tribe vs. White Creek Christian Academy Eagles
North Georgia HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the White Creek Christian Academy Eagles. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tribe this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-48 back in November of 2024.
White Creek Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maximus Whitmire led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double on 13 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. Whitmire is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted nine or more in the last three games he's played. Luke Shook was another key player, going 11 for 23 en route to 23 points.
North Georgia HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for White Creek Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Georgia HomeSchool will welcome William & Reed Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Georgia HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully William & Reed Academy likes a good challenge. As for White Creek Christian Academy, they will host Trinity Classical at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. White Creek Christian Academy is facing Trinity Classical at the right time seeing as Trinity Classical is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
