Recap: Wellsville-Middletown Tigers vs. Westran Hornets

This season hasn't been kind to the Wellsville-Middletown Tigers, who are still winless after their seventh game. They took a serious blow against Westran on Tuesday, falling 72-34. Wellsville-Middletown was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-17.

It was another big night for Trent Brandow, who scored 19 points along with five assists for Westran. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Marshall Kitchen, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Wellsville-Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Westran, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellsville-Middletown will take on Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westran is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Scotland County at 7:45 p.m. on January 9th.
