Recap: Ysleta Indians vs. Chapin Huskies
The Ysleta Indians lost against the Chapin Huskies back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The match between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Ysleta falling 42-25. They have not had much luck with Chapin recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Chapin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Autumn Blackwell, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for Blackwell. Jasmine Blake was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Ysleta has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Chapin, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.
Ysleta will be home for the holidays to greet Andress at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Andress focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. As for Chapin, they will head out on the road to face off against Horizon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Horizon is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
