Baseball Game Preview: Camden Catholic Fighting Irish vs. Collingswood Panthers

The Camden Catholic Fighting Irish will head out on the road to square off against the Collingswood Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Camden Catholic nor Collingswood posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Camden Catholic lost 10-2 to Lenape on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Fighting Irish in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Collingswood's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 6-2 to Haddon Heights.

Collingswood saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yon Anderson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Collingswood now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Camden Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Camden Catholic beat Collingswood 5-2 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Irish since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
