It was a good run, but Elkins unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Washington Patriots, falling 59-39.

Washington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ben Hale out in front who went 5-for-10 on his way to 11 points and six boards. What's more, Hale also posted a 50% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dj Boardley, who shot 83% from the field en route to 11 points and five rebounds.

Elkins' defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Washington, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Elkins will head out to challenge Preston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Preston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season. As for Washington, they will challenge Musselman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 59.6 points per game.
