Baseball Recap: Eunice Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Eunice waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Texico Wolverines as they made off with a 14-4 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 24-5 last Saturday.

Andrez Serrano spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Tyson Coy was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Misa Brito, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Eunice kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.

Eunice's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Texico, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Eunice will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolverines: the pair will be back at it again later today.
