Baseball Recap: Rubidoux Falcons vs. Jurupa Valley Jaguars
Rubidoux had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 8-15 to make it four. They came up short against the Jurupa Valley Jaguars, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-0 loss on Monday.
As for Jurupa Valley, the win got them back to even at 13-13. Winning may never get old, but they sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
For Jurupa Valley's part, Daniel Robles made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Robles also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Jurupa Valley is 6-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-11 otherwise. Robles was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Christian Del Rio was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.
